Hussey not even close to being out!

With umpires continuing to make errors, technology must be used to help the decisions to be correct. Too many players careers on the line with decisions like Hussey's making the umps looking stupid and inept. Incidentally I have umpired grade cricket at A grade level and I do speak with some experience behind me.

The easier you can make it for all concerned, the longer guys will stay in it, umps included.

Apparently they will try to get Lee bowling in the second innings because it won't make the injury much worse?

Aleem Dar has made a couple of shocking decisions this series he must be under the microscope. I was interested in Ponting's reaction when Hussey was given out as he questioned Dar straight away and his body language was very poor. Would he get in strife for that sort of behaviour?

He most likely will cop a fine particularly as he is captain.

very similar dismissal to that of jp dumminy in the first innings at the waca- didnt see anyone complaining about that being given out despite him not hitting it.

Who can forget the LBW given against an aussie batsman in the ashes loss in England, when the ball pitched a foot outside the leg stump...Dar has very serious lapses in concentration.

This spell from Morkel is the best I reckon I've seen him bowl in the series so far. That edge really should've carried.

That one was a bit tougher, I thought, but it is another example of a bad decision. The bloke is currently on the same level as Rudi Koertzen. One of the reasons I always look forward to us playing the CricketBoks is that we don't need to deal with that arseclown.

Gotta wonder what Duminy would have done too, had he not been sawn off. He never looked comfortable in that innings but boy has he shown some grit and determination to hang in. A few of our batsmen would do well to take note.

What a commanding position we'd be in right now if we'd bowled with real intensity yesterday and cleaned up the tail as expected. Edit: Damnit Clarke. Straight to the fieldsman.

Steyn has now taken 72 wickets in 2008 (same as Warnie in 1993). Another two wickets will take him into the top ten for most wickets in a calender year

Only just finished writing that, and now he has 73 (same as Marshall in 1984), one more to equal Kumble in 2004 and Kapil Dev in 1979 and the top ten

Picking DUDS like Symonds, the Aussie selectors have got what they deserve.

Duds don't average 40 plus in Test cricket.

Symonds must go if he cannot bowl. There is no way he can hold his place in the side with his batting alone.

By the way, I am a Symonds fan and I don't think much of Watson. So we either pick another batsman or if we don't have faith in our bowling attack, pick Mr Nuts and Bolts.

D. Hussey fresh off 100 not out from last night's T20 and he can bowl a bit. A chance?

Stats dont always tell the full story.

Good one day player - YES but simply is NOT a test standard player, its as simple as that as he lacks consistency and the mental application to guts it out when the going gets tough like now.
