How what are you referring to?

Guessing the stumping at the waca????

Took the bails off why the ball no where close to his gloves. Appealed, claimed the stumping.

Your comment just made me think.. is it weird I struggle to remember the dates of my kids birthday, but I can vividly remember what happened in a cricket match 30 years ago?

I think you mean the one at the Gabba, of Matthews where he dived forward and tried to sweep the ball back onto the stumps and asked the question cause he didnt know and Terry Prue gave it out

Went looking for the picture - the one where he has his hands out with a quizzical look on his face.

keepers dont have quizzical looks on the face when they know they have stumped someone, it was a genuine question of "was that out?"
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

And before you say why didnt he call Lara back or why didnt another member of teh Australian team call lara back well that was from back in the day where what the umpire said you copped, out when not out you walked, not out when out you rested on your bat and grinned at the bowler

You took the good with the bad

respecting the umpires decision, the true spirit of cricket.

It shouldn't have even been considered given how far in front of the wickets he was, the rest was farcical.

First contact was behind the stumps which is within the laws so keeper is perfectly entitled to touch the ball if it goes off his gloves and forward to infront of the stumps.

Both sh!te decisions, Wyatt Earp would be happy with that rapid firing

Yeah nah..... i reckon that one pretty easily crosses the line between respecting an umpires decision and knowing you pulled a swifty over the umpire.

Yup, was mainly a reference to the stumping, but yes, there was that run out in the ODI final, and then another run out against Lara in the west indies:

Once can happen to anyone.
Twice is unlucky.
Three times makes me think you were happy to claim wickets you knew weren't out.
