Strikers keep Rashid

This draft coverage is painful.

Just tuned in and I think Kath Loughnan just called the room where all the teams officials are the War Room? That is cringe.

I think he means Tom Banton, Englishman from Somerset that has played ODI's and T20I's. He's previously played in the BBL with the Heat.

According to this mornings paper, Cricket Australia had signed FAF to a marketing deal and he was not selected by anyone.

I think the same is true with some of the West Indian players too.

Teams selected for need rather than for entertainment.

My god - talk about peak SACA/Tim Nielsen/Strikers etc. etc.. Just read this about de Grandhomme:

- availability not confirmed due to being centrally-contracted with NZ (different for Boult who now is not) which means he needs a "no objection" certificate
- NZ Cricket had no idea of his availability for the BBL as de Grandhomme has not asked for a release
- he is currently injured
- NZ tour Pakistan in December and if selected de Grandhomme will be there at the same time as the BBL

What a classic!!! The Strikers might have "out-Sheedy'd" themselves

Northern Districts (his first class club) would be equally miffed I think. I'm sure their BBL equivalent is on at a similar time....

Can see this going tits up very soon, pretty sad as it has been very popular, it reminds me of a kid hiding in the same spot all the time because they were hard to find the first time.
