Keys to the city, there will be a welcome home parade down King William road and a public holiday for all to celebrate.Who cares about the Melbourne cup, today the nation stopped to see the Redbacks win.Just received word that people in Russia are celebrating in the streets, and the Americans are rejoicing,oh what the heck the whole world are happy.

Well done to the Redbacks, great for them to have a win (first in 21 matches).

Head (75) looked good, Christian (50 off 59 balls & 3/31) did what he does best.
Sayers (4/29 & 2/53) and Richardson (2/22 & 4/34) both played well and will put pressure on George/Putland/Mennie all coming straight back in.
Raphael (22 & 15) struggled on debut, and will go straight away for Phil Hughes to return, but gee whiz there were some failures in that first innings wasn't there. We aren't going to win too many more if we get rolled for 112.
Klinger our run master (7 & 6) was ordinary.

Good feeling that they won, but not going to polish the trophy cabinet just yet...

Very harsh on the openers in less than ideal batting conditions.

Agreed, especially since 22 was top score in the 1st dig!

When Aus got rolled for 40-odd against the Saffers, Nathan Lyon top scored.
He was still shit, but he top scored.

So that argument sucks.

I'm not saying Raph will never make the grade, but I am saying that Hughes will be straight back in.

Really?!? He opened the batting against a tidy TAS attack on a tough deck and fought out 22, when only 5 blokes combined managed double figures in the combined 1st innings!

Lyon will be out so they may play the extra bastman, pushing Richo back down to 8/9.

Hughes
Klinger
Raphael/Cooper
Ferguson
Head
Christian
Ludeman
Botha
Richardson
Sayers
Worrall/Mennie

Side starting to look pretty good.
Go you Redbacks!
