Bit stiff on Warner. Batted a treat!!!

If we want to get technical jim he really made 0 ;)

Yeah but he had a break and batted well, if he had got out yesterday we would have been rolled for 150.
Batted sensibly yesterday

Was actually 3rd top scorer - not quite enough to keep him!

The only problem is, we are seriously lacking young batting talent in this country. Even Khawaja hasn't really earned his spot yet and he is probably the pick of them... I think Hussey, Haddin and Ponting still add value & their experience shouldn't just be thrown away all at once.

You make a valid point but why should we be handing the opposition 3 easy wickets for not many runs each innings ;)

A lot of people said David Warner hadn't proved his worth yet either. But maybe you have a point - retain either ponting or hussey at 5/6 and promote Cowan and bring back watto and Marsh... Its ok to go full on young with the bowling line up but we need to continue with only experience batsmen? Why?

This is just plain stupidity this guy has taken 9/60 for the game won the match for his underdog country and an australian audience vote for man of the match, hope we dont do this for the Norm Smith Medal cos with all the Collingwood fans and Big Eddie no other teams players would have a chance, absolute joke hang your head in shame if i was Warner i would go and give it to Bracewell, also see you Hughes and Hussey

I thought Warner deserved it more than Bracewell. Was a lot harder to get runs on that pitch, than it was to take wickets.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep

No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

This Australian side has been for so long scared to make wholesale changes.
In the past we got away with it because there were the past greats to push them through. Don't stuff around and just make forced changes(ie bowlers because of injury) it's a rebuilding time. Pick youth WITH form(-28/29) and set yourself an actual plan about getting back to the top of world cricket.

Hughes needs to go back to state cricket and improve his game, will be a vital part of the international side....just not now.
Warner: persist with temporarily, love the selectors bold decision and if it pays off then

Hang onto kwahaja, Clarke, Siddle, Pattinson, Cummins, Lyon, Christian, the marsh boys, watto. Build from there.
Making us wait for Ponting Haddin Hussey to come into form is a bloody waste of time. What are we waiting for? For them to play a good game to retire in? Make the current struggles worth while and build for future times.

Wade
Paine

Once Paine is fit to play i think he will be a straight swap for haddin.
