I see Jason Roy playing over in Bangaldesh PL also, another BBL import chosen to go elsewhere.

I wonder if Aussie players will end up playing elsewhere and snub the BBL :lol:

Doesn't surprise me - the BBL was a good thing when it was a shorter competition, allowed players to come and play and be gone again with minimal impact on their time.. ability to then go play international or play in another comp for more money.

Should never have made it as long as it is now.

BBL 2017/2018 had a salary cap of $1.6m

1.6/10 = $160,000 per game

BBL 2018/2019 increased the cap to $1.77m with the addition of 4 extra games per side.

1.77/14 = $126,428 per game

They made the season longer, with more games and dropped the $$'s per game each side could offer it's players.

LOL.

Seems about right, a 21% decrease in payments and a 21% decrease in quality.

Still way too much money for most of the duds playing given some have come from District cricket.

Strikers paying Travis Head $500k a season for this year plus the next 3.....
