Was only a year ago we lost to the Saffers by over 100 runs in 3 consecutive games. One of them we lost by 170 runs

Bewildering
Morris with two wickets and giving the Pakistan batters a few issues.

I wish we could have these types of decks in Test cricket
To have decks like this in SmalL Bash cricket is questionable
Personally I dont mind them
BUT
if you keep dishing up these decks in SmalL bash cricket , could make people turn away to BIG bash cricket

Is Australian cricket now in crisis mode with national team?
Matty Wade is a star and deserves more respect from the forum family!

Whoever the bright spark was that decided opening with Stoinis needs to be taught a lesson.
Get the fast boys into the attack from the get go.
Looked like a 'safe' move instead of going for the throat.

This was Pakistan's first ODI series win in Australia since 2002, it was also 2-1 with Australia winning the first match in that series aswell. I vaguely remember the third match in that series as Shoaib Akhtar ran through the Aussies at the Gabba.

Cooper Connolly has a fractured fourth metacarpal in his left hand after being hit on the hand and as we saw retired hurt.

Nope. That was effectively our B and C grade teams and it’s clearly evident that outside the WC that ODI’s are just glorified practice matches. We were flogged by South Africa last year in a ODI series and then won the WC a few months later and I’d be pretty confident that if another WC was played next week we would be at the pointy end of the comp regardless of where it’s played

Yep, you just have to wonder what our method is? If we're trying to get games into the young ones then all good, but why play the likes of Smith, Marnus, Big Show, Stoinis and Abbott? Why isn't our best ODI player playing, why play Inglis ahead of Carey?

There is a distinct lack of interest but it's caused by CA playing not even fringe players, if we played our best XI we would pants the Pakis.
