I remember years ago in the late 90's and early 2000's where the day session during the week would still get a half decent crowd.

Disappointing seeing Hunt's dismissal, I'm sure he would like that ball again, was really hoping that he'd put his name up in shining lights.

On the same token, would've been better for him to open, why play 3 openers, one of them who has had several opportunities at the top level and hasn't cut it.

Yeah weird selection call playing 3 openers, obviously the Aussies selectors see Harris and Renshaw ahead of Hunt in the current pecking order for opening batsmen but still want Hunt in there. Like you I was hoping he'd do well and push his claims for higher honours but it wasn't to be on this occasion.

Absolutely, if Warner and Usi were both struck down with illness Renshaw and Harris would be the immediate replacements, I just think that this sort of game should be about exposing our up and comers to the big stage.

How long has this match become more than a one dayer? Used to be a bit of a festival like event, I wonder if Albo selected the side? That's what used to happen, no doubt another tradition out the window.
