As per Tweet from LawrieColliver ‏@LawrieColliver
"SACA has confirmed that should the West End Redbacks qualify to host the Bupa Sheffield Shield final, the match cannot be held at Adel Oval. As a result, SACA has been in discussions with the Glenelg District Cricket Club about hosting the final at Gliderol Stadium."

I'm sure negotiations will include the Glenelg Football Club who are awaiting the GDCC to finish their season to enable football training to commence on the oval themselves.
GFC First match is 29th March (Good Friday) at South Adelaide, but it would be nice to have use of a proper football oval for training beforehand.

When is the GF?

I definitely want the Redbacks to make the final and play there of course, but this is they type of thing which will probably happen in the future as well when a cricket tam and football team are sharing the same facilities

It appears that we have the easier of the games in the final round but I wouldnt write off NSW. The young Blues batting does looks a little light on but they have a fairly tidy bowling attack with Bollinger, Copeland, Hazlewood, Sandhu and SOK. There is also talk that Cummins is a strong chance to push for selection. Haddin will be a big out for them though

Almost 1/3rd of the runs WA made for the match were made by the last wicket partnership. That would have to be some sort of record in a winning team?

At least we are still 2nd. Hopefully a draw in today's match and then tas belt was and vic belt qld so we don't need to stress. Home final isn't the be all and end all.
The death penalty can never be excused as it allows a state a means by which it can pick and choose who is fit to live and who isnt

Why was 2009 any worse than their other chokes ;)
Today was a real kick in the guts, 1 wicket away from a certain finals appearance

Tas look like winning outright.
Going into the last round and top to bottom would be 5 points.
NSW who could be bottom today could amazingly still host the final.
What a close season.
Reckon there will be a few dodgey declarations in the last round as teams have to take a chance, just hope bad weather doesnt decide the outcomes

and we won our last shield with a rearguad action, going back to this match it boils down to the last wicket stands in both the gropers innings, the first dig i can understand cos huss was with hulk hogan, however the 2nd time around from what i saw we gifted them too many easy singles instead of attacking them, when hogan came out the field spread, maybe 3 slips and a gully with both joe and chadd operating would've been the go, easy in hindsight i know.

if anyone said we were a big chance of hosting the final after our first 3 matches they woul've been laughed outta here.....................i still dont feel any better trying to convince myself ffs
