Daniel CULLEN in the Australian contracted list is a farce, he struggles to make the SA team

what absoulte crap mal, one bad year does not mean you are cut into the wilderness of 1st class cricket, let me remind you that he spent part of last season in India at the Champions Trophy given that he didnt play a game and back home Bailey took his opportunity as the number 1 and has been rewarded.

IMHO one of these has to improve their batting dramatically if both are going to play in the same team based on present batting displays Bailey is the one who can step up into a solid no.8

One good year dosent mean your a good cricketer either
If he stuggles to make the SA TEAM and makes a test contract how can that be absolute crap ?
Unless Burdett doctors his pitches he will again struggle in longer forms of the game

the past season has been his toughest yet but he had a huge confidence dent by going to india then the 2nd spinner was on a high when he came back then it went from there.


Would you agree that he is the best in his discipline in the country at the moment? then if he's the best off spinner that we've got then he should be given every opportunity to develop and be of benefit to the national team

Actually.. yes!
His technique COULD be his downfall. Against quality bowling (internationally) and better captains who can read him, I can see his technique bringing him a steady average of 25 - 35.

But hey - I hope not! I'd love for him to succeed. Always fun to watch someone that aggresive.

You're not South African are you by any chance VARIATION. Look it up champ..if you don't have variation you need to have four quicks of the quality that Clive Lloyd had at his disposal. Such a thing does not exist in modern international cricket.

The Aussies don't really need a spinner anyway, as no other side bats
long enough for the Spinner to be worthy.
There are no spinners in Oz who can open the bowling like Warney used to.
