1/143

Cullen 0/47 from 8 overs. He's not in great form right now, is he?

Superstar Tait takes a wicket in the final over before stumps. WA 3/160

Tait 2/20 off 11!!
Dizzy 1/43 off 12

Not having a go at Dizzy here but usually he is thought to be more economic than Tait... Tait all over the shop, too expensive despite being a wicket takeer. Conceding just 20 runs off 11 overs while picking up a wicket in your first and last overs of the day is absolutely brilliant. He is in hot form right now.

Hmm well where to start. young plant and borgas got starts at least. Harris 0/48 (10) and cullen 0/47 (8) well this tells me our bowling will rely on Tait and Dizz with D. Harris being expected to come on at some stage and probaly bowl alot of overs. So somewhere blewitt could probably fit in that side. But heck doesnt really matter what i think.

Think you'll find that while Tait is still liable to go for a few runs in the one dayers, he has definitely been more economical in the four day version of the game this season and is striking at a wicket every 40 balls, which is far better than any of the other leading wicket takers in the Pura Cup.

Haven't read the Advertiser but from what i know he called the selectors "clowns" on 5AA. Apparently he's been charged under the players code of conduct.

Pity 5AA didn't use their 7 second delay dump button. They were obviously quite happy for Blewett to hang himself.

He removed the nightwatchman Heal quickly this morning and now has 3/23 off 15. He has definitely improved his economy and doesn't seem to bowl as many wides as usual.

WA are 4/172

if only we had made more runs....

Once again our bowlers work their arse off. Cullen takes 2 wickets in 4 balls, next over Cosgrove bowls Voges.

WA 7/258

Rogers made 110, what a star.

Cosgrove has 1/23 off 9
Cullen 2/69 off 14

SA 114
WA 9/289 DEC
SA 1/11

That mongrel LANGER declared just before tea to stuff up TAIT !!!!
TAIT 22.4 overs 5/43 sensational vrs the powehouse WA batting line up.
WA were 1/147....4/255 in that innings.
VOGES his test career in tatters look at his dismissal :
VOGES bowled COSGROVE 39

Chris ROGERS made 110 against TAIT and DIZZY thats terrific form against
2 bowlers who would walk into nearly every test country.
He is now in front of JAQUES in my opinion for a test birth.

SA 1/11 Tom PLANT fails again out for 1
Unfortunately I have never seen him bat, he always seems to be out when I
get to the Adelaide Oval games at about 11-30
I will not condemn the young man, but statistically he is not up to it.
Meanwhile our best opener is batting at 4 Mr Dan the man doctor HARRIS
ELLIOTT 3 *
BORGAS 7*

SA still 165 behind, it would be nice to get at least 100 in front and let the
fastest meanest bowler in the country let loose at them[not cosgrove]

Will ELLIOTT get past 20 ?

TA 328
QL 4/97
this game delayed early today thru bad light...TA in the box seat

If the insight that Steve Waugh gave in his book was correct, I get the impression that in those types of situations the No.11 is just about begging the captain to declare
Do get the impression though that Langer doesn't seem to rate him that highly though and that Michael Hussey doesn't either. Hussey's decision not to bowl him until the 13th over of the 20/20 game against Pakistan here at Adelaide oval a couple of years ago was most perplexing.

Hopefully the Redbacks can get a couple of real solid partnerships happening here to actually set WA something for the bowlers.

FAILS AGAIN

What Matthew must do now is consider what damage he is doing to a magnificent career.
It is a shame to see the great man struggle.
Is it the end ?
