Martyn Retires

First Class Cricket Talk (International and State)

1980TM

I have met the bloke on 2 occassions, on both occassions I walked away feeling that this guy is all for himself and everyone else is just "comon folk"

the biggest "tool" trait of this bloke, he loves to dish it out, but he is very thin skinned when it gets returned back

like I said, each to their own, has been a good cricketer, but not my sort of bloke, and you will find he has burnt a few bridges in the cricketing world, this may be his reason for immediate retirement

No wonder the players want better security having to put up with that shit, soon Adelaide will be like Perth, Melbourne and Brisbane where the players will walk out of a tunnel away from the public to escape idiots like your mate Bulldog and the smartarse that had a crack at JL when he walked off after getting a pearler from Flintoff on Saturday evening.....

D!ckheads like that ruin it for the rest of us who appreciate the privalege of having the players walk past us especially the young kids that race to be next to the players entrance each morning of the test....

Come on it was done in a light hearted way with no malice at all. I know players are playing for there livelyhood but lightn up a little, it wasnt like he abused him or anything. Its not a privalege to have players walk past you they are human beings not gods, they are lucky to have a crowd watching them and they should feel privaleged. Have you met my mate to call him a idiot , did you hear the context of what he said no. Anyway go you Aussies
