Already have two spinners Boyce and Pope so its not a complete disaster if Tim recruits some quality batsman in the draft.

Lack of Access to Private School Grounds.
What’s in it for Private Schools?
Extra staff required, Extra days worked and for what?

Advertiser saying the Strikers have signed English captain Ollie Pope, I can’t read the article but I’m sure that’s him in the photo.

Hasn't played a t20i

60 matches averages 29 striking at 132

Recent record looks promising...

Wonder how old Tim Nielsen will be feeling about this? His boy might not be getting a game now that he's lost the protection of his dad!! Pope will probably be the 'keeper when Carey isn't playing?

I don't think Harry has contract with Strikers anymore, one of Tim's biggest mistakes before he left was not getting him another three years like the Redbacks

Don't think Harry is a 20/20 player, most teams have someone who can keep and open the batting at strike rate of 150 plus. Stick to Shield cricket where he did have pretty good season last year.

Hope cops a lot of stick but has been pretty handy. If his dad wasn’t in charge I still think he would have played just as many games

He is just an easy target

He has been pretty handy at Shield level, his keeping is very good. In 20/20 though you need the keeper to be an attacking batsmen, all the good teams have one, think Tim just never signed one as he knew this would cost Harry getting a game, hence the conflict of interest

Exactly - especially when there was an opportunity to sign a number of keeper/batsmen over the past couple of years: Bancroft, De Kock, Edwards (Netherlands) but they were knocked back by Nielsen Snr.

I initially thought Bevan, Ponting or Symonds and to a lesser extent Lehmann, Hodge or Hopes but I agree, will be a nice tribute if it is Jones.

Since signing for SACA Strikers, Ollie Pope has scored 6, 6 and 1 in test cricket

Has he been Redbacked already? :?
