The way I see it

Shaun Tait has been given this amazing gift to bowl fast
At times lethal
But he has been given a fragile body

His fragile body is probably why he just concentrates on the shorter version of the game in recent times

Now he is trying to make a comeback of sorts to the longer versions of the game
That would seem to suggest he most probably wanted to play all forms of cricket for most of his career

I wish him the best of luck
Hope he succeeds in all versions of cricket this coming season

If he wants to play shield cricket, I wouldn't knock him. If his minds right, and his body can hold up then it's awesome for south Aussie cricket.

EVERY now and then, the internet slaps you across the face and says “hey, here’s a video you really, REALLY need to watch”. Often the internet is lying when it says this.

Today, we reckon we’ve found some footage which is well worth 53 seconds of your time. It’s Adam Gilchrist batting like you’ve never seen him before. Gilly has a GoPro mounted on his helmet and the bowler is Shaun Tait, aka the Wild Thing, a 31-year-old man who still bowls very, very fast.

The occasion was the MCC Bicentenary Match, celebrating 200 years of the world’s most famous cricket club on its famous turf at Lord’s. A bunch of Aussies were involved, including Shane Warne, who had his hand broken by another speed demon and ex-team-mate in Brett Lee.

Shaun Tait bowls a lot faster than Lee these days. Indeed, he still bowls faster than pretty much anybody. This you might have known, but it’s amazing to experience how quickly the ball arrives from the batsman’s perspective.

SOUTH Australian speedster Shaun Tait has announced he is ending his self-imposed retirement from longer-form cricket.

The 31-year-old today confirmed growing rumours he was expanding his SA commitment beyond another Adelaide Strikers Twenty20 campaign, to the 50-over arena.

Tait, once the fastest bowler on the planet, expects to be available for the Redbacks in as many of four of their seven Matador One-Day Cup matches in October’s compact tournament.

Depending on the success of that, Tait could be available to pinch-hit in coach Darren Berry’s Sheffield Shield attack as SA looks to end its drought in four-day cricket.

Bah!! I confirmed it two months ago.... 8)
