Played every game last year, made three 50s which isn't too bad, but struggled to make a run apart from that and never looked like he was too comfortable out there.

Hughes/? when he is playing for Australia
Klinger
Ferguson
Brown
Head/McDonald
Ludeman
Botha
Mennie/Richardson
Sayers
Putland
Zampa

Agreed Travvy needs to step up, but he is definately ahead of Brown

McDonald definately plays as well

then it becomes a tough call, Head hasn't done enough to be a walk up start in the team, and Brown hasn't put a foot wrong in the time he has been in the team, maybe Hughes unavailability at the during the season will push Brown up the top of the order

Botha's guaranteed selection is still a weak point for me, bowled well against WA in game 9, and a 50 in our last game, but apart from that wasn't impressive at all with either bat or ball

Agreed Brown hasnt put a foot wrong, however Trav is in the top 3 cricketers in Australia U20 and will be given every opportunity...

Botha needs to play better no doubt and he is a better cricketer than what he produced this year. For SA's sake and the team structure he needs to average 30+ batting at 7-9 and take 20 wickets

Agree 100% with this. Christian was & McDonald will be better options as the genuine all rounder for us. Botha being in makes the team unbalanced IMO.
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

Kelvin did not play any school cricket in the 2012/2013 season!

Players need to be making hundreds consistently to push for Redbacks, otherwise they get found out at the higher level.

Dont think anyone really did that this year!

McDonald is not as old as everyone thinks, he's just been around for a while.
Was not a great Test player, but at least by Christian's age he'd been considered good enough.

Massively disagree. McDonald actually earns his spot as an all rounder by being picked in the side on at least one part of his game, his batting. Can argue that he would be picked if he was only bowling as well.

Massive upgrade in talent and personalities, along with work ethic. Great move
