Still dont like 2 spinners but George back at least is something. Also with Cooper being dropped I assume Miller will keep his spot?

Really a balanced attack is the 3 quicks, Lyon and then the fourth seamer is Christian.

Cooper dropped?

WTF? Crazy

Is it a straight cooper out/klinger in? If so, that's poor, miller shouldn't be there. If its miller and cooper out, klinger and someone else in, I'm happy with that. Cooper is a regular under performer. Time to weed those players out

Klinger and George return to Bupa Sheffield Shield squad

Opening batsman, Michael Klinger, is a key inclusion for the West End Redbacks Bupa Sheffield Shield match against the XXXX GOLD Queensland Bulls starting at Adelaide Oval tomorrow.

Klinger, who made 72 yesterday in the Ryobi One Day Cup win over the Bulls, missed the last shield match against Tasmania after injuring his left shoulder during Grade cricket.

Peter George may also line-up in his first match of the season on the back of his good form in the Toyota Futures League last week.

George took 5/66 in the first innings against Tasmania at Prospect Oval and backed that up with 4/53 in grade cricket on Saturday.

Gary Putland will miss the match against the Bulls after experiencing hamstring tightness at training during the week while batsman, Tom Cooper has been omitted.

Redbacks coach, Darren Berry said last week that changes would be made after disappointing results in the team’s first two Bupa Sheffield Shield matches.

“Unfortunately Gary Putland comes out of the side with a hamstring injury and we’re hoping he won’t be sidelined for too long,” Berry said.

“It gives Peter George an opportunity and he has worked hard the past few weeks to work his way into the squad.”

“Tom Cooper will obviously be disappointed to miss out in this match, and by his own admission his early season form has not been to the standard he set last season.

“Tom is a quality player and I have no doubt he will work his way back into the squad soon; we need Tom Cooper playing good cricket for South Australia.”

Surely Richardsons 6fa suggests he might be worth a crack against the same line up....Batting looks like it will get the job done and i expect a few boys to fire but i do worry about bowling them out twice based on the lack of penetration in our last shield game.

THIS HAS TO BE THE GAME TO TURN IT ALL AROUND!!! GO YOU BACKERS

This is the match. Bulls are nothing. Very ordinary cricket side. We will win and win well

Last game we won in the shield was in November 2010, does anyone know who that was against?
