First time that's ever happened in Windies Test match history.

Only happened 12 times in the entire history of Test cricket.

That's a massive surprise to me!

Plus in the 80's only 5 or 6 of their batters were ever required.

Huge comeback by the Aussies

In huge trouble at 9/329, partnership between Harris & Lyon got the score to 9/406 when Clarke declared

Top order collapse sees WIndies currently 4/17, Chanderpaul gone for 12

Love Clarke as a captain. Opened Watson with the bowling in the second innings. He just likes to take little calculated risks and not be predictable. Aussies are in a great position

Great effort from Harris 68* and Lyon 40* at the end there to really give us a good sniff, them two have probably won us the game with those runs, quickly sweep up the rest of the West Indian batsmen and have a pretty good chance to chase down 200 in half a day or so...

Geez anyone who backed Harris at 100/1 for highest score would be pretty dark on Clarke for declaring. :( Was the declaration a sign that Australia are fully intent on winning and not drawing or maybe there was some self interest in the decision. massive result for Bookies if Harris made another 6 runs.
I'm sure he had the teams interest in mind although i think more captains than not would've batted on til the fall of the last wicket.

Massive turnaround in the match with the Windies in complete control for the 1st 3 1/2 days. It's swings like this in Test cricket that makes it so good.

great declaration imo. A few overs before tea so get two cracks with the new ball. Worked perfect. Might not come off but I'll always back a captain who loses a test , by trying to win it

Yes my opinion of Clarke is raised quite a few notches with this one. An aggressive and fighting declaration, nothing like playing for a result.

Somehow I don't think Clarke would have given a flying **** about who punted on what!

Terrific declaration, sets up a potentially gripping finish, with all three results still possible, given how the Aussie line up can collapse these days. Give the Calypso Collapso a run for its money. Bookies offering $19 on the Windies....

Still 5 wickets in hand, 100 plus runs in front, this game is a long way from over. Fair enough the aussies are in the box seat but i wouldn't be counting any chickens just yet. The two bats at the crease plus Sammy are more then capable with the willow and if they make it past lunch with a lead of 200 runs or there abouts, could make for an interesting afternoon.

Anyone who put money on Harris at 100-1 for most runs is an idiot.
