Warnie bowled really well tonight. With a bit of luck would have had another wicket and a few less runs.

Yes, very good tonight.
Not a big fan of the commentators talking to on-field players, but it wasn't bad tonight with Warnie calling his strategy prior to most deliveries.
Heat now collapsing in a heap.

Where did the Stars find this Dernbach clown. Crap bowler and as a fieldsman he makes Phil Tufnell look like Jonty Rhodes. Dropped two of the easiest catches going around

Thats the sort of shit players this comp attracts when you expand the comp to 8 teams and have to fill em up with old crocks and rejects from overseas like Dernbach.

The little bit i've watched tonight was when Warne was bowling and the telecast was completely ruined by the cameras continually honing in on Liz and the kids after every ball FFS. Utter joke.

Add a fit vettori and cutting it changes the side big time. As well as hopes.

Were they pre-tournament favorites?

Quiney and Hussey great knocks

Hauritz with probably one of the worse 3/18's ever bowled, lucky to not have gone for 40 runs with the wide half trackers he bowled.

Christians bowling was poor, either too full or too short, he just isn't that good.

Neser and Buchanan are both young but bowled utter poo.

Lots of Heat players got starts but too much was left for Harris and Neser, they are going to have a very weak middle order is Christian is on international duties.

SK Warne easily the best of the bowlers for the Stars, the pace bowlers tried doing too many slower balls, Dave Hussey will pick up a few overs in the coming games I would hope.

Dernterd is woeful, Mahmood bad.

My fantasy team is very unhappy Dussey didn't bowl.

Australian selectors WILL be very disappointed if they expect Christian to take wickets at Test level.
He is a shockingly over rated bowler. Bats alright tho.

Yeah I don't rate his bowling at all, at 130k's in this day and age you cant afford to bowl bad balls which he does too often.

MELB STARS 7/177[20]
QUINEY 97 [60] An innings if Warneresque proportions, this guy is brilliant
HUSSEY 45[32] perhaps the best Domestic middle order 20/20 player Ive ever seen
HAURITZ 3/19[4] opening bowler, exceptional effort as he had to bowl at Quiney

BRIS HEAT 7/169 [20]
MCCULLUM 36[25] sensational
HAYDEN 22[10] heeeeeez baaaaaack, brutal
CHRISTIAN 18[11] good while it lasted
NESER 30*[21] terrific low order batsman
HARRIS 25*[20] nice effort
MCKAY 3/22[4] great effort
WARNE 1/22[4] when he came on , he closed the run rate down and set his team up

MY VOTES
3 QUINEY
2 HAURITZ
1 MCKAY

CROWD
29241 most ever at 20/20 game
Previous was 27653 NS V QL 2006/2007
Hmn ....

FORREST
Captains the Heat
12[16]
He simply is not a 20/20 player
Should be left in the 4 day format, where he is excelling this season
He batted at 4 tonight, and wasted a great start
How he bats in front of Christian is a mystery

WARNE
Some of the best commentary Ive ever seen in spot
Warney gave listeners a ball by ball description of how he would bowl
Most of it was spot on
The guy is a genuis, how he set up Mccullum and got his wicket

MCKAY/DERNBACH
From what Ive seen this season, they are the worst 2 fielders in Domestic cricket

THE MATCH
Compelling viewing
It had it all
This 3 hour package of cricket is entertainment plus
So much so I watched it instead of Bonanza
Stars look a cup chance
Heat will need to win their next game or its bye bye time

Warnie is a faarken legend ... should have captained the test team.

As a bonus, has reasonable taste in women as well
