Yet another great contribution from the $900 K man

He gets $900k for slapping a ball for 5 overs mate, he gets next to naf all for building ( or attempting to ) an innings.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

He's not a 5 so I think it's harsh to judge him as such. He's a 7 who can make do at 6 at best.

But do we worry so many of our top 6 got a start and none have gone on with it as yet?

Blizzard out for 64 5/200. Much rides on this Manou/Bailey partnership.

Inching closer, but 100 less runs in the same number of overs.

Manou going well. If he gets a ton we should claim first innings. Assuming 9,10 and 11 stick around long enough.

Pretty evenly poised right now I'd say. No doubt both sides will be keen to set up an outright chance. I expect first innings to be done and dusted around lunch tomorrow, leaves about 5 sessions for Queensland to set some sort of target like 250 off 70 overs or something.

Sorry been away, just back and ready to once again bag the selectors. You would have thought they learnt from the last game about the team and being a batter short, but no, lets do the whole thing again, and in fact weaken the batting, by dropping O'Brien and bringing in Bailey. Lucky my man Choco is there, imagine if the knockers had got there way and brought in Luderman.

Haberfield dropped - WTF for Edmondson 8 overs for 50 - great call.
Bailey back in - obviously based on outstanding form somewhere we don't know about.
Richardson - good call, play the kids.

Our two best performed Grade Cricketers continue to be overlooked. Sayers - seriously how many wickets does a bloke have to take to get a look in, getting old now at 23, but week after week he dominates grade cricket, give the bloke an opportunity. Tommy Moffat, has accumulated Bradman like runs in Grade Cricket and what does it get him, 1 game and Oh 12th man for this game. Play the interstaters that are doing nothing and ignore our two best performed grade cricketers, who are both 23 years old.

Having a look at gthe two sides

- Blizzard (582 runs @ 38.80) is the ONLY player to average more than 33 in FC cricket

SA wont help this by playing 4 batsmen

And with Manou falling, so did our first innings chances.

Guess we'll have to hope for the outright.

QLD 1/5

Townsend LBW George for 1

Good start. I wouldn't be confident chasing any more than 250-270, thus we really need to have them all out for around 200 odd in my view.
