And if you truly believe Tait does all he can to be the very best cricketer he can be, which for mine includes playing the most traditional and "true" version of the game ( 4 and 5 day cricket ) then perhaps your expertise is better suited to another field. ;)

Truth is, he came on the scene and was damaging for a short time at his best. Now he is no longer at his best (and with his injuries unlikely to be at his best again even if he gets fit enough to bowl 10 over) he can't bowl well enough to be worth a spot in the SA one day side every game.

Reckon you could fit Simpson and AB in there too, might not have been there when we were at our successful best, but I think they put us in the right direction.

So it seems AH is the only one that knows his stuff on cricket considering everyone else agrees with Booney.

Come back to this thread please AH, I'm intrigued to hear your reasoning for your love of Tait!

Enough is enough [good lyric for this thread]

TAIT
Been given this amazing talent to bowl very very fast
Been given a seemingly fragile body that is not coping
At his best he is awesome and a feared bowler

Put yoursleves in Shauns position
He cant play longer forms becoz his body lets him down
What would we all do ?
If I was Tait I would play shorter forms and try and get some finiancial stabilty at the same time
At any stage his body could give up, there is life after cricket

Been given the talent but not the body? WTF? His body is his talent..

What would I do? I'd work so frigging hard on all apsects of my game, leaving no stone unturned and make sure when I'm 40 and retired I dont look back and think what could have been.Perhaps your love child Watto could give Tait a tip or two on hard work and what needs to be dont to put yourself in the physical condition to play cricket year round at the highest level.
I'd want to make sure I could look at myself in the mirror knowing I had made the most of my ability and not merely been slutted around as a "hired gun" to some bullshit Indian franchise playing in a competition that means nothing to nobody except dodgy Indian bookmakers.

They should take his baggy green off him, that's of course if he hasn't already dropped it into the local Cash Converters.

I'd rather take 200+ Test wickets for my country while travelling the world, making $1.5-2m per year and retire knowing I have used everything I have at my disposal to do the best I can.

Mate, I'm with you but I think Hawker thought that you were gloating over Tait's most recent injury which I don't think you were.

He's never going to play Test cricket, so why not make some very good coin while the chance is there? Can't play cricket forever (or in Tait's case string 2 games together).
