So the ones with 20k to their name they get sweet fa if they only play 1 game and 20k if they play all of them?
Seems paltry. Must be some other benefits.

That's what I'm curious about. As if you'd bother to leave your family behind and go and spend two months in India for a maximum of $20K?

I'd pay to go to India, soooo...yup!

I suppose it gives them exposure and the chance to earn more in the following season.

6 weeks work for $20k. Yeah, sounds terrible.

For a cricketer on $50k per year or less with their home state/province/territory, it's pretty valuable cash I'd have thought.

Maximum of $20K and the reality is they might only play one or two games so who knows what percentage of that they get and they start training and playing practice games a good 2-3 weeks beforehand so ends up being a good two months.

Surprised Brian Lara didn't get picked up.
I know he's been retired for a while now, but I thought they'd be able to make a mint from someone of his calibre returning to cricket.

41 year old who has not played active cricket for 4 years and had a base price of the maximum (400k) Doesn't really surprise me too much.
