Some of you need to get on Grade club committees and push these thoughts. They're the ones in control, it is written into the SACA constitution and I wish anyone luck who wants to take on that system.

Reinvent the whole corporation thus making the constitution irrelevant.

I could see an automatic promotion/relegtion system having a disruptive effect rather than a positive one.

Yes it would at club level but isn't club cricket meant to be the foundation of our state team which is the foundation of our national side.

Yes it is, which is why it's important to build a solidarity into the structure rather than treat it like just another weekend competition.

Just on "clubs not being willing to amalgamate", I can tell you that when it was put to SACA clubs about 15 years ago to explore this, my club Sturt were seriously talking with Glenelg. It was the weaker clubs, the clubs just sponging off the competition who did nothing about it, and that is why nothing happened.

I check seek.com daily to see if there's any jobs going at SACA.

Even better those that are members vote in the annual board elections. Some of them have been there far too long, There is always new blood willing to attempt change......

Big ask I know, but I hope they have enough sense to keep Jeff Vaughn.

Had him as coach @ Hope Valley where he lifted us into three grand finals for two premierships.
Cannot speak highly enough of the man. No matter what grade you played in, he was always available for for a chat/advice or just a cold VB. The speech he made to the whole club even after losing his GF was one of the highlights of my sporting life.
