Ah fair enough, perhaps wouldve been better having a 2nd T20 game today then before the ODIs? But i guess its a matter of squeezing all the games into a tight schedule

Just play in in a different state would of been logical.

Doherty is looking good! 1st time I've seen him play. A smoky for the test team?

8/190, 51 to get, plenty of overs left, surely we wont snatch defeat from the jaws of victory again

This is an effing disgrace. Malinga had a top score of 16. Now he is on nearly 50. Cant finish the tail. If we lose this heads have to roll. Its not only the pakis who can fix matches :D

Highest 9th wicket partnership for Sri Lanka, beating 76 set by Kalpage and Vaas in 1994.

Also I hope Foxtel end up buying the cricket rights from 9, going to the News instead of showing the cricket live really is disgraceful. Surely they can show the News during the innings break?

I agree Marty.
With 2 digital channels showing the cricket, I was expecting one to go back live and the other to show the news.
Really isn't good enough.
Might be time to dust off the Imparja card. ;)

I can't see anything stopping them from beating the 9th wicket record, which is 126.

Are these guys incapable of bowling yorkers? Just seem to be trying to bounce them out or bowling back of a length!! Its not working so why not try something different?

A dash of imaginative captaincy here would go a long way. Nothing but straight up and down bowling for the last five overs. Plenty of short shit too.

That's the record, it lasted 27 years, it was made by Kapil Dev and Syed Kirmani in the 1983 World Cup vs Zimbabwe.

You won't get that much excitement and prolonged cliff hanging suspense in a 20/20 match!

I think what has happened, is that the selectors are going for too many players who are promising juniors, rather than players who have runs on the board. You should earn your spot, not be just a promising NSW or Vic player.

Out Siddle and Johnson, short $hit to tailenders, It's time to sack all the selectors not just Merv and start picking the best side.
