Ponting run out for 41.

Run out in a test match FFS!!! Unless you stumble on a easy stroll through for single you should never get run out in any session of a test let alone the first!!! That is not counting a very close finish either (which are few and far between) where you require a mad dash run at every delivery!

I haven't seen his run out today, but I've noticed that Ponting has become a bit slack in his running between wickets at times.
Going back to the 5th Ashes Test, his run out there could've been avoided if he'd responded better to Hussey's (admittedly not so great) call.

An opener for an opener?
Hughes for Watson. Yes but also no.

Watson is so much more than just a opener at the moment.
In my opinion Hussey should have gone to open with Katich, clarke to 4 Smith into the team.

However with North not at his best it would have been a middle order gamble, but heck a very exciting gamble!

Another failure for Hussey, will the whispers start about his place again? especially if North happens to get runs.

Gee, Clarke and North are flogging the Kiwi bowlers like a convict caught with the Governer's wife....

Has there ever been a bowler in the history of test cricket who has done more for batsmens averages than Chris Martin????
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Cant wait to get home and watch the highlights.

But in all serious the NZ bowlers are average medium pacers at best

Tuffy, Martin and this Arnel bloke are all over 30years of age.... take out southee what younger bowlers have they got? surely there is a young quick bowling heat in NZ cricket!!!!!
