So Pakistani like. He has kept damn well in the NZ series, and had a extremely bad test against us at the SCG. He didnt set the world on fire in the Boxing day test, but if that was most other countries, he would have been stuck with for the series at least.

Apparently the media beat up is that Umar Akmal is not going to play in protest of his brother getting dropped.......

Umar is a good young talent, but finds a way to throw his wicket away.

After days of confusion, Intikhab Alam has put an emphatic end to speculation surrounding Pakistan's wicketkeeping spot, saying that there is "no doubt" Sarfraz Ahmed will play as the wicketkeeper in Kamran Akmal's place in the third Test in Hobart starting on Thursday.

Which is interesting as it is expected Kamran Akmal will not drop himself and the decision if a tied vote of 2-2 will rest with Yousuf. It will be interesting to see which way he goes, with the board or with his VC.

The herald sun is reporting that he has agreed to drop himself. Surprising to say the least, I guess they're trying to minimise the disruption to the team.

After saying the first part you didn't need to say "and elects to bat". Whilst Ponting is still skipper we know what we will be doing first.
