I read an article about this and apparently it will be Hughes and Jacques  .

Last year in the final game when Jacques katich and hughes played, katich batted at 3.

I would suspect when full strength there batting line up may look like this:

Hughes
Jaques
Katich
Clarke
Watson
Haddin
Henriques
Hauritz
Lee
Clark
Bollinger
12th man: Bracken

Noteable exclusions:

Thorneley (captained for most of last year)
Casson (test cricketer last year)
Bracken
Cameron (up and coming star)
Steve Smith (up and coming all rounder, great emerging players tournament)
Kwahaja (spelling no idea, but can bat this bloke)

The side i just wrote is better then most test sides. Unbelievable really

Warner could be viewed as a notable exclusion too.

Can't wait for the Sheffield Shield to start, going to be a good season all teams look to be very strong. I think the Vic's to go to back2back with this team team.

Rogers
Jewell
Hodge
Hussey
White
McDonald / Quinney
Wade
McKay
Nannes
Siddle / Harwood
McGain

Nah, Redbacks all the way

Michael Klinger (better after Australia 'A' slection)
Tom Cooper (definiate rising star from the emerging players tournament)
Daniel Harris (hopefully continues his great from of last season)
Callum Ferguson (best batsman bats Number 3)
Mark Cosgrove (*fingers crossed* for a good season)
Cameron Borgas (possible weak link/possible rising star)
Aaron O'Brien (handy 'all-rounder'...)
Graham Manou (*bow down*)
Chris Duval (back where he belongs)
Gary Putland/Peter George (competition for spots)
Shaun Tait ( :S )

Cullen Bailey/Daniel Cullen = ?

True, but there are 5 weaknesses in that list. Cooper, Consgrove, Borgas, O'Brien, Duval and Putland are all very questionable and likely to fail more often than not.

the biggest weakness is definitely Tait. No question about it.

He is heartless

He will get injured before Shane Watson would.

LMAO you say there are 5 weaknesses but then you list 6 people  . Cosgrove is far from a weakness he is a gun and hopefully he turned the corner in the second half of last season and will continue on with the great form he showed late last year.

Ah he is not a "Gun". He is a very good player potenially but "Guns tend to play more than 3 first class games a year i would have thought.

I don't think the amount of games he played had anything to do with his ability. He is a gun and i am sure that he will prove that this year. It was no coincidence that when he played in the shield games after christmas SA performed much better.
