Chris Gayle and Fidel Edwards will be appearing for the Kolkata Knight Riders and the Deccan Chargers respectively in this season's IPL, but will be available for a little less than two weeks. With both West Indian players expected to arrive in England for the return series no later than May 1, their IPL stints are expected to last just 12 days.

Jerome Taylor, the West Indies fast bowler who was picked up by Kings XI Punjab in this year's auction, has been ruled out of the IPL due to an injury, the franchise owner Ness Wadia said. He also said that he didn't expect the franchise to lose much money because of moving the tournament to South Africa as the IPL would underwrite some of the costs.

Taylor sustained the injury from a vehicle accident and has been replaced by the 26-year-old South African left-arm fast bowler Yusuf Abdulla, who made an impressive Twenty20 debut against Australia last week

No probs, it's only on One though, no games on Ten. I think there's a double header on tonight from about 7:30pm.

Got to love the compulsory ad breaks they throw in. Add to that the two dicks talking about the match throughout the game. No wonder it's free tv.

Wasnt very impressed with OneHD the other night. They had the game between Warnies team and the KKR's. Teenage Prodigy Kamran Khan got Ganguly out off the 2nd last ball. Ganguly had played a great innings talking to his partner to calm him down and telling him no to play any silly shots. His partner got out in the 2nd last over. Ganguly was not happy at all, swung his bat in frustration. Then Ganguly let himself and the team down by getting out on the 2nd last ball. Exciting stuff. KKR needed 2 off 1 to win. OneHD went to an add break and returned with Athletics. The game ended a tie with a run out off the last ball. The a super-over, which I had not seen before. Quite angry i was. POOR FORM!

I saw that too, very poor form from One/Ten. While the standard of the IPL isn't much chop it's been alright watching it every night when there isn't much else on.

Out of the top 5 batsmen this year, 4 of them were over 35. It shows that Twenty20 can be anyones game.

The games have been lower scoring and better contests.

It has been great to watch every night. I quite like watching Warnies team. He is a great captain and with the team he has (not too many big name players), he has done really well with them. Kamran Khan will be a gun bowler in the future, just 18. Got injured the other night but hopefully he is back before too long.
