This is a crucial partnership now... c'mon boys.

In other news I just cracked my first beer for the day, pretty ordinary stuff by my standards really.

I have been battling a sore throat today which usually means I am coming down with a cold... but I will still soldier on.

Ponting brings up his ton, fantastic knock. I had a feeling he might go on with it after getting dropped earlier.

I will definitely be slamming a few more beers down now. :lol:

That was a great ton scored by a very angry but determined Australian Captain

and in the words of an ex cricket captain of mine he would always yell out when you got a ton "DOUBLE IT:"

Nah Pup just has to work the ball around, Punter is on fire, let him keep going the way he is, don't need to going too hard at the same time

Yet again we lose a wicket just before the break.

We are in deep, deep trouble here as I can't see our bowlers taking the wickets required.

Guys 500 is a bit of a stretch. 400 will do fine.

Ponting= champion.

we are really gonna struggle firstly to get 400+ in our first innings and secondly to get 20 wickets.......................

why do we have to keep persisting with bloody spinners???......sure it gives us variation but if they arent good enough why pick them???............should have gone with Hilf and Bollinger.........

Punter you gun. It wasn't the most convincing innings at times but it should be enough to get the confidence back. Hussey had to have a slump eventually I guess, unfortunately it's happened against the side challenging us for top of the table. Realistically anything over 400 would be a great achievement from here but once again a lot will depend on both Clarke and Symonds keeping themselves grounded.
