Great player Tendulkar. Absolute star but at the end of the day he is never going to be as good as what Lara was at his best. Regardless it is only a matter of time before Ricky Ponting goes sailing past Tendulkar's record. Ponting will put a large gap between the two before he retires.

India 4/281

Tendulkar 71*
Gin Gan Guly 48*

Cheers Rod, hopefully we can bat just as well as the Indians (haven't seen any footage, just going by the scoreline).

Would love to see Hayden crack a massive ton! 8)

It is obviously a good pitch but from 4/164 we should be in a better position than we currently are i would've thought. These two have got away from us a bit.

Nah, not terrible but the Indians are just milking him. He is no threat whatsoever. I reckon the Indians would be more worried if Brad Haddin came on.

Watson 13 overs 3 maidens 0 wickets 45 runs

Thats not too bad from Watto, i would take that from him.

Is this a boring Test or something, doesn't seem to have the same excitement as the last one......

5/311 STUMPS
GanGIRLy 54* still there
What an indictment on this pitch if he manages to get 100 + TOMorrow
Once again on a non bouncing pitch these Indians dominated
Even though SIddLE got pasted today he bowled enough good deliveries to suggest he MIGHT make the grade

My votes for player of the day
1 JOHNSON to get 3 wickets on that deck was a splendid effort
2 TENDULKAR 88 off 111 brilliant innings
3 GANgirlY 54* came in at 4/150 odd and did a fine job for his country

GanGIRLy was fortunate today he was stumped of WHITE and not given out
We continue to have a 3rd umpire deciding on 3 or 4 runs for a boundary slide on the ropes, but not for a wicket ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)

IN could bat to about 444 TOMorrow and be well placed

Ganguly need to make 50 just to make up for his fielding. Anything after that is a start.

You should have heard Robert Craddock and Liam Pickering on SEN this morning pumping up Siddle's tyres. So far as they're concerned, he's the next big thing in cricket. The fact he comes from Victoria may have something to do with this rating. The term "something special" was used ... a little over the top for mine.

Abandon the tour the umpires are cheating for the Indians  . Get rid of Rudi or we are going home(sound familiar) .

How do you not send that to the third umpire astounds me.

I agree about Siddle Hawker. The main point of frustration for me yesterday was Ponting's negative field placements. How TF are you supposed to take a wicket? Expecting blokes who have played a hundred tests to give their wickets away against Pup, Watto, Siddle and White is just ridiculous.

I thought Ponting's response to the the 'defensive' taunt levelled at the Australians was very revealing. Can't stand these Indian wankers cos they haven't actually done that much as a side when you look it them closely but they've got a point about how defensive we have become in the absence of a genuine strikeforce since Pidg and Warney gave it away. Now...everyone back on the fence! FFS just terrible Rick. They got 300 in a day anyway.

regards,

REB

INJURIES

JAQUES has been sent home with a bad back
MCGAIN is the big news may never play again
his shoulder requires surgery and will miss a minimum of 2 months
or perhaps he may miss the entire season
At his age of about 37-38 that could be the end
WATSON looks very sore today, Id hate to say it but the rigors of an Indian tour are taking its effect ?

Meanwhile who will replace JAQUES ?

Symonds
Hodge
The Dave
Klinger
Marsh
North

IN 6/401 LUNCH
The absence of Stuart Doc Clark is evident
GanGIRLy 91* [cant believe it, he shits himself when bowlers pitch short but on this track he might get a ton  ]
DHONI 45*

over 100 overs bowled and White has bowled 10, think Ponting has advertised the fact that he doesnt rate him much
