Hungry Jaques LOL. Pay that. He has certainly made a meal out of the Sri Lankan attack. See folks this is why they pick New South Welshmen .

Fernando's a disgrace.

All of this promise that his countrymen see in him and he lets them down.
He loses confidence as soon as one ball gets hit. Doesn't stick to disciplined lines. Seems to just roll his arm over instead of pounding the ball in....and then he fields like that! I've seen him do it so often. Like so many sub-continental pace bowlers, he doesn't like it when the going gets tough - see Prabhakar, Akhtar, Zaheer Khan.
Sri Lanka can't afford to have players not standing up, everyone has to be counted - and Fernando, you stuck on the khazi every time!
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.

DAY 1 STUMPS
AU 3 FOR A MILLION
HUNGRY JAQUES A TON
SIR MICHAEL HUSSEY ANOTHER TON

The concern must be the low scoring series failures of Hayden and Ponting.....

The big question is will LEE/CLARK/JOHNSON/MACGILL get a bat in this series.

Well done to Jaques yet again, and the only way he is getting out is throwing it away, anyway for those interested, yes there were others out there batting today

Stumps Aust 3/329

Jaques, PA c:Fernando b:Jayasuriya 150 329 237 18 0
Hayden, ML c:Jayawardene b:Fernando 17 85 56 0 0
Ponting, RT c:Jayawardene b:Muralidaran 31 94 66 2 0
Hussey, MEK not out 101 206 173 15 0

NZ 1/84 LUNCH
NZ 6/184 TEA

CUMING in hospital retired hurt 48
Future SA opener Lou Vincent made 33
Dale STEYN the man who has replaced Shaun Pollock these days 2/39
STEYN took 10 wickets in the first test [selectors got it right ..] and he is quick + a star
POLLOCK 420 odd wickets at 23 is finished ?

HUNGRY JAQUES Kallis
About 9000 runs at 57

Malinga is bowling well today. Looks like he is bowling to a plab with Hussey....probably about time, but my theory on bowling with a plan is try it before the bloke hits a ton.

Unfortunately there is no evidence to back it up but I've always thought Steyn would be a star.

What are you talking about all Sri Landan actions are fine. Its just the big bad aussies are mean!
Thats right..... ;)

Serious though, didnt take too much notice of his action. Just thought he bowled better today. Still though clarke and Hussey continued to dominate.
