Benchy, do you want to just pop over to the police station behind the WACA there and see what Cuzzy's up to?
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.

For some reason hate watching Katich and Jacques bat but both get the job done. Just don't like Brad Hodge as a cricketer. I think Jacques definately deserves first crack though and will do well. Would like to see some other openers this year putting alot of pressure on that opening spot as Jacques has done over the past 3 years. Definately wont be an SA player!!!

I'd agree in one day cricket but I still reckon he's got something to offer at Test level. Plenty of people would have said 'Langer is a hack' when he was recalled too. I didn't realise that Katich was not a contracted player or I obviously wouldn't have made this thread but I was very impressed with how Katich batted against the Warriors on Friday and he's scored another 50 since then.

I haven't posted too much about That man but his time appears to be now. He's certainly got the runs on the board. It will certainly be an interesting first test XI and I'll be there on the Saturday to remind Murali that he is a cheat every time he throws the ball.

regards,

REB

For me it's Mike Hussey to open the batting and put in Dave Hussey in the middle order. Dave is all class consistent batsmen an has been hitting big runs in the Pura cup for years.

Plus it will kind of feel like having the Waugh brothers back again.

It is time to play a younger person to fill these roles reason why have a look at the team. Most are 30 and over or near 30. Players like Bailey, Tait, Ronchi, Thornely, Henriques, Birt, Paine, Crosthwaite, Blizzard, Wade, Cullen, Hilfenhaus, Voges and White. Players around this age must be included in the side in coming years instead of going backwards.

I believe Hussey should open with haddin or D hussey to fill that middle order spot. Can not add hodge due he is way out form and bats to slow.

When he first burst onto the scene he was touted as the next Australian captain, but then fell off of the selectors radar...

Ahhh no he didn't! They gave him plenty of chances but I'm afraid he's not quite up to it.

295* now. We could do far worse than Katich. Watson for example.

Good call REB. Katich's timing couldn't have been more perfect to make a massive score.
