Would take that as an opener for the Redbacks in face i will take anyone who can average over 20 in their first dig of a match.

450 runs at 37 for someone in their second season of shield cricket is pretty good - especially when you play in hobart every second game which favours bowlers far more than batsmen

8 matches 463 runs at 33.07 highest 118, take away his ton and his other innings average 24.62, nothing flash about that mayz,

 im not saying he is the best batsmen in the world but for someone starting his first class career and having to bat on bowler friendly decks ever 2nd match he is doing quite well

I always find it funny when take out this innings or that innings to support your argument. An average is exactly that an average of all your innings why can't people just take it for what it is and not try and change it to suit their argument.

I mentioned early in his career that he would be one to watch.
At the time plenty of people laughed and said it was only because he plays at Bellerive all the time.
Awesome season so far

Queensland v Tasmania shield final.
One of the closest seasons ever.
WA dropped from top to fourth.
Queensland, Tasmania and Victoria seperated by percentage

The teams arguably with the 2 liveliest decks in the country are playing in the Final
All 3 games this last round of the season didnt get to the 4th day
The last time a team played at Adelaide Oval a team made 2/400+

The decks this season
From Best to worst to bat on
SA
NS
WA
VI
TA
QL
Reverse this order and we have the finishing order in the SS this season
Sure there was circumstances, injuries, International promotions, weather, etc
BUT ...

QL V TA at the Gabba in the final
Let me guess, the wicket will improve for batting ....
