I think the poms should drop Strauss, he just isn't pulling his weight. ;) No one else can get out and he is making a habit of it

I can't believe that someone has mentioned Brad Haddin. He's been crouching behind the stumps for ten sessions in the last two weeks. Surely someone else can shoulder the load.

Killa wrote:So with katich injury that make north safe for another test or role the dice and play two of hughes, Khawaja, Ferguson and maybe smith due to he bowls wrist spin.

So the bowling line up for the next test will most likely look like

Watson
Hilfy
Siddle
Harris

with smith as the 5th option. Don't really need to play a front line spinner as it will be a road like past years.

Test team I would pick would be
Watson
Hughes
Ponting
Khawaja (Clarke needs to be rested so he is fit for world cup as hes a handy bowling option)
Hussey
Ferguson
Haddin
Smith
Harris
Siddle
Hilfy

12 Man??? anyone on current teams form but cameron could be a good option but age against him as the team needs youth

I have a supsicion that Smith would go about as well as what Doh has done. No one agrees with me but Haurtiz remains the best slow bowling option and he should come in for Doherty who isn't up to it. At least Horrie has taken a couple of five fors. North won't be dropped but Clarke and Katich should be replaced with Hughes and Cameron White who has already made runs against England in Hobart this year.

Watson
Hughes
Ponting
Hussey
White
North
Haddin
Hauritz
Harris
Siddle
Bollinger

12th Anyone but Johnson who should be bowling for the Warriors.

With your team Killa you've weakened the Bowling at a time when the Poms have just racked up 5/1000!

Would the selectors be prepared to make such a public admission of culpabilty and incompetence?

What dickheads batting on this morning.

The ball has moved for the first hour every day, now with the early start they would have had extra chance for movement with a new rock.

Now they also cost themselves 10 mins in the changeover of innings, whenever that occured.

They dont need the runs, just playing stupid mind games.

Yet when Australia do it everyone applauds the 'mental disintegration'.

Probably have mental scars from the last time they were in Adelaide, I would've thought a declaration would've been on the cards though.

Still more than enough time to bowl the Aussies out. This will test the mental toughness of a few blokes. Clarke is a perfect example.

REB i completely agree with you! I was one that never thought Hauritz should have got dropped, and i'm one of Cameron Whites biggest fans. I want him as our next test skipper.

North is just a sitting bunny Though IMO and Clarke should just go back to 5 and pile on the runs at that position like he was! anyone in would be upside in the batting when it comes to North! Changes I would make: hauritz in for doherty, white in for north. Hughes in for the Kat. Khawaja in for Clarke if unfit.

If we lose this series, I'm thinking Ponting will get the flick from captain and his spot in the side!

4 hits for the year averaging 18 with a total of 54 runs is hardly banging down the selectors doors in regards to White.

yeah that 100 helps!

I honestly just think him coming in at number 6 and not north would be so much better for our side! And it allows him to be our next skipper which is what I want, or Shane Watson!

Good first session.

I agree with Dutchy, England did not need to bat again this morning. Should have sent the Aussies in to see how they handle the early conditions, I'm not complaining though.

Great start by the Aussies! Continue fighting and we can escape this with a draw and hopefully take some momentum into the next test at the WACA
