Iv been saying that aswell at home today Locky. I still reckon we are a very good chance of winning this test.

prediction - hughes and hussey to hit tons. ponting 80 odd. watson 30 or so.

Aussies to lead by 250 and win! ;)

I'd be more confident if the Kat was playing, he could well put on a big partnership with Watto - something they have done often this summer.

Time for Hughes to stand up though.

Interesting batting by Kaneria. Just bowl a yorker.

STUMPS

9/331 for Pakistan lead of 204.

Great days cricket lets hope the Aussie batters get back into some form tomorrow, wicket should be at it's best for batting, personally I think Pakistan made a mistake by batting on, would have had about 5 overs at the Aussies with the new ball still moving around a hell of a lot and tried to knock one or two over Hughes would ahve been very nervous in that period of time, wont be as bad tomorrow, lets hope we see a great knock by some of our top order, we lose a few very early in the first session tomorrow the game could be well and truly over by stumps tomorrow night, lets hope not

I thought Siddle was the pick of the bowlers today. Finally got his length right and bowled without any luck. If he continues to bowl like that the wickets will come for him again.

Need a couple of special innings tomorrow to be any shot of the win.

Centuries to Hughes and Ponting sounds good ;).

He was better today but his summer to date has been ordinary and must be under pressure if wickets don't come in the 2nd dig and in Hobart.

6 wickets @ 60 odd is not a very good return for someone of his capabilities.

Don't agree.

Pakistan need to get as far ahead as possible, 40-50 runs could make all the difference. If it wasn't for staggering batting by their tail enders then they could be even further in front.

Game up for grabs still IMO.

Totally agree pup. I was just saying he was bowling like he was at the start of 09, which was very well, today but just without any luck. Hopefully he has turned the corner and the second dig he will continue on and get a few wickets himself, assuming we make them bat again that is.

Why did we give the Paki's an extra 60 to 80 runs by having no 3rd man in place when they were clearly on top. The way Siddle bowls an edge is highly unlikely to go to a slip fieldsman, even with two slips, I'm sure we could've sacrificed another fielding position to combat this.
It totally demoralises the bowler when edges constantly go to the 3rd man boundary for 4, you make your own luck out in the field.

We are still in this

If we can score 400 (if!) the 200 run lead might put the wobbles in their batting in the last innings

I don't think the wicket will crumble on the last day like it used to, then again, we've got to make sure we get to day 5 first.

Watto wants the aussies to be in the lead by lunch it seems.

Hopefully Hughes can give him some support.
