BEAU WEBSTER
Ive liked Beau Webster for quite a while
This season he has taken his game to a peak level
He might just be the Green replacement batting 6 and bowling a few overs
He is a real Wesbter package these days

GOLDEN GREEK
The Golden boy Kontas batted well on a deck that gave fast bowlers assistance

THE ROC
The Roc must be groomed for a spinning spot when The Goat retires

INDIA
From an Indian point of view they have some good young quicks
Lightning Krishna continues to harry up the batsmen and looks an almost certain international

JUREL
Jurel is just another Indian batting keeper of talent

FUTURE
Australia and India have both been very good teams the last decade or so- but both need to replenish
I'm more confident of India replacing their stars more than Australia

Agree with Webster, plus he is pretty handy in the field as well, might be a darkhorse for the 1st test ;)

I rate Webster extremely highly, his last couple of seasons have been excellent. Funny that he has only bowled pace since the Covid season, massive upside in this.

Harris and McSweeny to be named for the test. One will be the concussion sub.

4th fast bowler will be interesting Doggett, Boland, Neser or maybe they’ll go with Webster as the all rounder cover.

How bad is Neser’s injury?
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

The other thing about the Webster package
He can bowl some useful off spin

If he plays and bats at 6
A pass mark would be
batting average 30
bowling average 35

This match is referred to as a 'day night' match, but is starting at 11.30 a.m. local time.

At what point does a match become a 'day night' match rather than a 'day' match?

Hard to imagine it'll be very dark at the end even if 100 overs are bowled.

I will reserve judgement on why the 5 players are not playing with this series on the line
ALL states are playing Sheffield Shield matches ending either the 17th or 18th
So if the plan is to get these players into a longer form match in preparation for the AU V IN series, then there's sum logic involved

Jake Fail Mc Guirk

enough of this already

just go make some at first class level and earn a spot rather being given one on the back of one innings in state one day cricket

the stats since then suggest that that innings was more luck than ability
