Well done North. Hopefully we can score some quick runs and then send them in.

Two reasons Ian:
1. The spinners have bowled even more pies than the pacemen
2. England are just going through the motions, trying to use up as much time as they can before the rain comes.

This really is uninspiring cricket. The crowd are more entertained by the stupid trumpet player.

Needed that session to reinforce our position. They MUST come out after Lunch and really score quickly....

If possible, bat until a lead of 250-300 (or score of 685/735), then have half an hour tonight and tomorrow to try and force an innings win.

Yes, reluctantly I can. Although I appreciate what the players on both sides are trying to achieve at the moment, it's not exactly entertaining me. I'm sick of watching Pommies standing around talking to each other and laughing. A bit of intensity wouldn't go astray right now. They just had a drinks break that resembled a BBQ.

Are the ICC really interested though? I know there's talk, but they should enforce the 90 overs a day (or 15 an hour) and get tough about it - just do it and no talk about it.

Agreed Spelly. Parklands cricketers can get through the overs, it has me stuffed why Test cricketers can't. Just listening to Greg Matthews, he just talked about the lack of intensity, the Pommy players having too many laughs on the field, and the slow over rate. None of it is good enough at Test level.

It's one of the easiest problems to fix. It's so ingrained at 20/20 level to get the overs in.

That's remarkable. After Anderson had 100 knocked off his bowling, the three "century makers" Flintoff, Anderson, and Broad all shook hands with each other. I think if I were captain I wouldn't be too pleased by that!!!

Watto has just run drinks out. What are the odds he injures himself getting back to the dressing room?

Did anyone else think that, about 20mins ago, they heard a group in the crowd singing "We're a happy team at CENTRALS" ?? (ie, not Hawthorn). Obviously, if it was Centrals they were singing for, they haven't heard today's results!
