Yes Hughes has been fantastic but like he was closer to his next test century at the Wanderer's following his 4th baller he is closer to his next test duck following his two centuries here. He still has a lot to learn about the mental side of test cricket as opposition sides will work him out and as questions of his temperament and technique.
as I've said before this kid is destined for a long and successful test career but not before he gets dropped and is made to tighten his technique and refine his mental approach to the game.

He's as mentally tough as they come, I honestly thought that would've been evident to all. And his temperament? Ummm that gets the tick too.
Strange post.

Look he's a special player but over the next few years he will be challenged, so don't be surprised if he gets dropped.
rremember Duminey looked invincible 2 months ago, the Australians have gone away and developed plans for him which have limited his effectiveness. The same will happen to Hughes.
Strange post are people forgetting that this is test cricket - 12 months ago Hussey was flying against Sri Lanka and had got his average back over 80, now....
Hughes will get tested and challenged
