a bit of both I'd say. Our pace bowlers are all bowling about 130 and the ball isn't moving around

Few play and missed, one knick past the stumps and two edges went straight through the gap, thought the bowling today was far better than day one.

is it a given that the umps check the legality of a ball everytime there is a wicket?

Pattinson with 3 wickets funnily enough has been the pick of the bowlers but this has probably been his worse spell and the two wickets were poor balls worse shots

Umpire, if you think it's a no ball, call it a no ball, if you don't think it's a no ball, don't call it one, but don't not call it then ask if it was one later.

Why not every ball. The extra ball could be just as vital it might be the wicket taking ball.

if they are going to check every wicket, they need to work out a non obtrusive way to do it, not just the "stop everyone, stand where you are, we will check" rubbish that happens now! Celebrate the wicket, the batsman walks off, if it is a no ball he turns around and goes back to the crease. If the third ump can't see if it is a no ball or not in the time it takes the batsman to slowly walk the 90 odd metres to the boundary then too bad

Correct, heard a comment on the radio yesterday by one scribe who estimated 10-15 no balls are missed each day.

10-15 extra deliveries could be an extra 30 runs or 2-3 wickets.

Maybe this isn't practical but if they are so worried about getting no balls correct, how about the third umpire watch the no ball camera view every ball and tell the umpires through the ear pieces as it happens if there is a no ball
