The writing was on the wall late in the last game when 6/144 & went on to make over 300.
Why do they persist with Lee?

Thought we were about 20 runs short with the bat but with our pop gun attack we were about 70 short.
Christian is very pedestrian and surely Lyon is better than Doherty

To me Doherty just tries to tie an end up as opposed to taking wickets. Ok he may bowl 10 overs for 30-40 but I'd rather Lyon bowl 10 overs and take 3 for 50 ood.

Agreed.
They pulled Lyon out of SA's shield match so you would hope he gets a gig on Thursday

That's alright the Aus summer of cricket continues on for another couple of days.

Not sure if it's correct but I heard today that in this tri-series every team that has lost Game 1 and then won Game 2 has also gone onto win Game 3 and thus the series?

If so you gamblers should put the lot on Sri Lanka to win the final game ;)

David Warners laborious 100[140]
Did it cost Australia victory ?
In hindsight YES
100 off 140 is fine batting 2nd if chasing a total of about 250
But batting first on a road against a powerful opposition batting line up, 100 off 140 is not enough

Im a real David Warner and Shane Watson fan
But today it almost appeared as if they were batting for themselves at times

I have heard people say (not on this site) that Warner's strike rate could be excused because he is playing with injury.

Drop the bastard, and get a fit bloke in, if he can't play the way that bot him a guernsey in the first place!

WARNER
Warner 100 off 140 balls
To put things in perspective:
Lets say Overloaded batted with Davy and replicated his innings
So we have
Warner 100[140]
Overloaded 100 [140]
Thats 200 off 280 balls and we have 20 balls left in the innings
Even with sundries included, the team total will really struggle to get to 250 runs
This simply aint good enuff when a team bats first on a road deck against a super batting team

GAME 3 NO CLARKE
IF Warner and Watto play CAREFULLish , whos gunna bail the team out next time with Clarke out injured ?
Peter Forrest is another CAREFULLish batsman, and a likely inclusion

THE CROWD
Only 15000
Why ?
Too much in March in Adelaide ?
Head to head with Globe Derby trots
Clipsall last weekend
Adelaide Cup this weekend
A recent Ryobi Cup final
Tuesday is a working day
People unable to attend, due to family commitments
Up against Alive and Kicking with the incomparable Jamie Reeson
The Go Show in about 3 weeks time
The Fringe Festival
Etc
Have people run out of $$$$?????

If Adelaide cant draw at least 20,000 on Thursday they dont deserve to hold another final.
Pathetic crowd yesterday.

Excellent point MZ
The only saving grace is there is no Globe Derby Trots to compete with on Thursday
