Disgraceful shot and got away with it. The pakis have had some luck this innings IMO.

Once your on top the luck seems to go your way. I guess we have had that for years and the luck is not going our way this time!

Have to agree CK, all day they played and missed but were only prodding not playing full blooded shots in the first session, but having two batsman out and not appealing has not helped our cause today

I was thinking the same thing.

How do you figure that? We got a touch up against South Africa, England and now perhaps once again here. They looked like they'd made some strides in the Boxing Day test but the fragility remains. We don't need additional touch ups, we need some gradual improvment and so far it aint happening.

More touch ups means more pressure on players and selectors, which means hopefully bringing in young players to blood which can only be good for the future of Australian cricket. We are clearly past the good ol days of players guaranteed of keeping their spot and simply remaining in the team on reputation only.
So you've seen everything have you?

What worries me is that we seem to touch up sides in the 1st test of a series quite easily then struggle after that

My point was that repeated touch ups don't seem to be doing us much good.

Swamp Donkey wrote:If we can get them to 6 down tonight we may be a slight smokey, given the condition of the SCG pitch late on the 4th and 5th days. I reckon tomorrow will be the best day to bat in the match so if the Aussies can bowl them out before lunch tomorrow and be 2 or 3 down and about even at the close tommorrow she's game on. But we've gotta get Misbah and the two Akmal brothers out pretty soon!! Unlikely, yes, wishful thinking, very!!!!

The first part has gone to plan!!!! We're still right in this I reckon. Like you lads have been saying Punter needs to chip in with a monster and bat all day 2mora!!
