Leg spinners can be a great investment

Watched him bowl a few overs yesterday and his accuracy has certainly improved. One to watch for sure.

regards,

REB

The wrong'un he bowled to Heazlett to have him stumped was a ripper and was made to look even better as Heazlett got stuck in a tangle after attempting to come down the wicket to Pope only to be completely fooled as the ball spun past his outside edge.

It made me wonder if he gets alot of wickets in grade cricket with his wrong'un?

Should get Ricky Pontiff to work on his batting too.
Underrated post.

I believe he does, particularly against batsmen who've not seen it before.

Having said that, my Glenelg mate said as recently as last season that he was still a long way off being a consistent Shield-level player, so it's a pleasant surprise that he's had such a strong start with the Redbacks this year.

The role of the shield sides is to produce players for our Test side. Just wish the powers to be would remember this when they suspend shield cricket each year whilst we are playing a test series. It's not that hard.

He will go for plenty at times, like all leggies starting off. Has to be played.

Still a very young man. Hope he gets a bag starting today.

Was he dropped or injured, I don't think McSweeney was in the squad..Liam Scott was but he isn't playing either.

edit. Just mentioned Weatherald injured, Lehmann having a child

As Ian Chappell used to say:

You win a toss, say 100 times, you bat first 99 times no question. The other one you think about bowling then you bat first anyway.

0-37, putting them in to bat you’d want some early wickets
I'm gonna break my rusty cage and run

Maybe he's a switch-bowler who bowls pace, and frequently throws in the leg cutter, off cutter, googly, medium pace delivery, Murali chuck, etc.
