Yeah I'm with you Zartan, good confidence from Ludeman to go for it and hang on to a great catch.

Was just going to post why take Richo off after a good first over but Holland gets Klinger, good ball and a big wicket. Just the start the Strikers needed.

8 and the 9 down for the Scorchers, Rashid's third wicket. He's been a great pick up for the Strikers

I reckon Carberry should've been included for this game. You never know when he's going to fire. Our batting, bar Klinger and Marsh, is fragile. If they fail trouble is in store, especially against good attacks like the Strikers'.

If Heads over went for 40 like it should have, wouldve been a different result.
It was simply terrible and simply good fortune that he got a wicket albeit costing 21 runs off the over

And if Ludemann took that leg side stumping first ball or was able to get an extra metre and snag that catch it would've been a different story again.. Would've, could've, should've.. Didn't - it is what it is, fact is Heads over only went for 21 and got a crucial wicket.

Unfortunately to be expected from a guy that supposedly has a strip club inside his mansion.

While his countrymen chase down 3/600 every second week. Sure, he's made a lifestyle choice, good for him, but any cricketer worth a pinch of shit plays Test match cricket for their country first and foremost, especially during tough times.

he is not solely representing his country when he plays test cricket so maybe its not the same priority as to an aussie, as for not being worth a pinch of shit for playing for dollars surely you jest, what idiot would play for peanuts when they can set themselves up playing global T20 tournaments?

I'm not a fan of the T20 version, I don't like it when players chose to whore themselves to the T20 tournaments of the world, hey, I don't blame them, but I think Test cricket is the pinnacle and if you're going half way around the world to play cricket for a month surely the pinnacle of the sport is the aim?

Having said that, I didn't realize how old Gayle is, I didn't think he was 36....doesn't change my mind though, Especially when his nation is languishing like it is.
PAFC. Forever.

I respect Gayles ability but in no way do i respect his attitude towards test cricket for the West Indies.

I follow the West Indies very closely and i know people will sit there and write but he did his time he played for the Windies test side for X amount of years etc etc.

The fact is the second T20 cricket came in Gayles want to play test cricket was reduced, he even said as much

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/cricke ... aincy.html

In 09 Gayle was talking about how test cricket would die and he wasn't that sad to see the end of it.

While he continued to play for the Windies his attitude shown through and tore the sides he played in apart. His batting at time was absolutely horrendous, no test cricketer in the world should get out by hitting a six with their first ball of an innings and then trying again the next ball.

I have no doubt if Gayle was now 18 years old he would choose to never play a test match and only do the t20 satellite tour.

The fact that he may consider to rejoin the test team next year is a massive slap in the face to the current side. While they have been off touring against England and Australia he had absolutely no interest in test cricket. No doubt he will rejoin if there is a few soft tests for him to play in.

I can understand why Gayle wants to chase the cash the t20 has to offer but he is a very very very very selfish cricketer.

Cricketer Chris Gayle, already facing a barrage of criticism over inappropriate remarks to a female television reporter, allegedly indecently exposed himself to a woman during a Sydney training session at last year's World Cup.

The Australian woman, who was working around the West Indies team in Sydney, has detailed the incident to Fairfax Media. In the course of her work she entered the team dressing room to get a sandwich as she hadn't eaten all day, thinking the players were on the field training.

Instead, she found Gayle in the room with one other player. Gayle was wrapped in a towel, which she says he pulled down to partially expose his genitals to her while saying to her: "Are you looking for this?"
