Some stats from the match
Runs scored by Top 6:
SA 395
WA 288
Runs Scored by Bottom 5:
WA 289
SA 49
Once again it was the inability to knock over the tail after having our opponents in trouble coupled with the fact our tail simply cant bat.
Would love to see what our opponents Number 9,10 and 11 have averaged against SA in the last few years, would bet its far higher than their career averages

As stupid as this sounds from what I have seen first hand we are not creative enough against the tail.

We seem to stick to the same field 3-4 slips gully point midoff etc etc tailenders tend to be more unorthodox and therefore get out in unusual ways rather than snicking to 3rd slip there just as likely to be caught at third man slashing.

Food for thought anyway, just my obs

At a tick just over 2 RPO and may not have made many runs, but was able to occupy the crease for a while at least - a skill SA batsman have struggled with in recent years.. all about partnerships..

And what short memories people have, he was very good against TAS & QLD I thought... yet 1st sign of failure swoop like vultures... you sure you dont write for the Advertiser?

Not that embarrassing.. we would've been bottom already if we hadn't done the great escape against TAS..
