I didn't see the whole spell, but that looked like smart bowling to me.

I reckon you might be giving him a little bit too much credit Booney.

I like the way he looks, Still think Cutting should have played

Especially on his home deck, what was the saying in the early 00's? Was it horses for courses?

A left arm bowler wont come around the wicket unless he wants to cramp the batter.... hence credit is due IMO

I probably would've left Lyon in the den, I've always said on here if you don't have a world classs spinner, don't play one for the sake of it, Pup's good enough for a trundle, his backshould be fine now Bingle's out of his life.

Variety Pup, is why Starc got the gig
A right hand fast attack of Siddle/Patterson/Cutting may have been the reason for the selectors picking Starc
From what Ive seen
Pattinson, Starc are better bowlers than Cutting in 4-5 day cricket
I would pick Cutting b4 the other 2 in ODIs and definitely in 20/20 cricket

My order

TESTS
STARC
PATTINSON'
CUTTING

ODIS
CUTTING
STARC
PATTINSON

20/20S
CUTTING
PATTINSON
STARC

All 3 are good lower batters
Cutting is the best hitter of the 3
Cutting is arguably the best hitter in Australian cricket

Tough to get out LBW when you are only concerned with edging to slips

Cutting's leading the shield wickets this season isn't he, and he'll contribute with the willow.

A slight retraction
Phil Hughes will not get out LBW to a pace bowler

I was going to predict Hughes getting caught behind the wicket on the offside , but thats to predictable

I didn't see the whole spell, but that looked like smart bowling to me.

Was it as smart as 1993 ?
A rampaging Booney, opening the batting
had to face a wily old fox bowling his off spinners during his innings
Booney faced a very smart over
.....1
to survive the first 5 balls, and then produce a freak single would have been one of Booneys greatest career highlights

Yes, it was very unusual for me to run singles so that particular one does stick in my mind.

It went to deep backward square leg, there was no fine leg, only a short leg and mid-on. I called "No run"...my batting partner called "Yes, we can get three...!"

I succumbed to the pressure and took off. :D

Been saying that for ages.
Definately would have played 4 quicks in Brisbane, Clarke bowls decent and Warner bowls tweakers aswell

Am i the only one who rated Siddle's bowling yesterday?
Bowled really well and was pick of the bowlers by a mile and his figures could have been far better if his Captain could catch. Only fault was i thought he bowled too many bouncers
