Just b4 stumps
Perhaps the turning point of this match
CLARKE hit on the helmet by HARMISON not knocked out
CLARKE hit on the glove caught behind given not out
[ONIONS hit on the armguard but was given out  ]

AU should be 5 for at stumps
CLARKE the outstanding batsman in this series continues his luck with the umpies

FOOTNOTE
I wonder how this game would have ended up at stumps day one if STRAUSS was given out LBW for 0

so true thiels, was listening to boycott when we were 1/50ish and all he did was whinge and complain about the poms how bad they were - no saying how great our blokes bowled - added to his bragging how he would have played the bowling. Get that prick off the commentary PLEASE!!!!!!

The real England came to play last night. They are only competitive when Australia are not playing well. For the first time in this series the Aussies poured on pressure with the ball and England wilted as we have seen so often over the past 30 years.

I will be disappointed if we don't win the series 2-1. Apart from Harbhajan Singh, is there anyone in Test cricket more annoying than Stuart Broad?

I thought that was a great decision by Rauf, there was no way he was certain that caught the glove, infact it just caught the last mm of his inner that was sticking out the inner. It got more forearm that inner and i am glad that the bloke that is batting the best for us is getting all our luck with the umps.

Yep i think we bowled in partnerships very well last night. Hilf and Siddle started things off and Clarks accuracy and tight bowling seemed to help Johnson who i thought bowled well and without much luck. Siddles second spell to remove the tail so quickly was great as well. If we bowl that 2 more times it will be all over red rover.

Broad is the most annoying cricketer, even more annoying that Harbhajan, at least Singh doesn't look like such a punce on the cricket field he just acts like a DH. Broad is a punce and acts like a DH.

Good day for the aussies but not out of danger yet- need 300+ to be fairly comfortable- get knocked over for a lead of 150 and they get a good start and we will be sh*tting ourselves- big first hour to say the least- get to lunch 5 or 6 down and we win

My god. That was magnificent last night. I've only just woken up after staying up for stumps, looking at the coffee table I can see why I slept so long. Thought there were a lot of beer bottles, then noticed the empty wines as well... oops!

I haven't had so much fun watching a test in ages. Being 1-0 down and then coming out and performing like that, bowling great lines, aggressive length, great body language and a steady stream of forlorn Englishmen trudging back to the pavilion was just such a treat. Last time was the last day at Adelaide 06/07.

Stuart Clark, welcome back. Sorry you had to put up with a mob of selectors that seemed to forget just how reliable you are, and how much of a threat your bowling is. 3 for 7 on return was a great way to get them eating a bit of humble pie. Hopefully you're back in time to save the ashes! Even gave Siddle a bit of confidence to smash the tail up.

Now bring on tonight. Let's hope North and Clarke can break the English spirit and build us up to a 200 run lead. Hopefully not a 201 run lead though, coz then I lose my 20 bucks at the TAB. ;)

Imagine the build up going into the last at 1-all, Freddie coming back, the poms crapping themselves coz they're poms and loooove losing, the papers over there going nuts...I'm not counting any chickens here but geez that'd be tops.

Harmy helps that, 4 balls a plenty (15 overs, 13 fours)
Anderson not much better (15 overs, 10 fours)
