Amla second only to pup in world cricket. Was brutal to watch as an aussie, but brilliant as a cricket fan.

it will be interesting to see how long they bat if we dont bowl them out, really no reason why they wouldnt declare till the last session with a lead close to 600

Agree I wouldn't expect them to be overly attacking especially considering a draw holds onto the number 1 ranking, plus the last time they were they comfortably chased 400 plus.

I would be surprised if they batted the whole of today and declared before lunch day 4

hey i dont expect them to give us a sniff, just thinking if they are 600 in front with say 8 down late in the day they could have a go at us for 30 minutes or so, however if they are 5/500 with an hour left they will bat on.

south africa should keep batting to about tea day 4 - provided they are not bowled out beforehand

the pitch has settled down and is a good batting wicket and the Saffies willl know they chased down 414 so they wouldnt wanna give the aussies a total they could run down

i can see a draw happening here.

Even if they set us 600 we have nothing to lose by going after it. Won't be a draw.

Was Greg Blewett on 99 when he was bowled from a Curtly Ambrose grubber on one of the worse WACA pitches ever!
