Thought they said they dont wan the rights until all the Aussie stars are available, that leaves a fairly small window of opportunity and would mean the big bash would have to be be played outside December and January

CA will make players available because the dollar factor will be to strong. But it will be squashed to a maximum of a month

Gibbs out for Perth, replaced by Tom Beaton, Luke Ronchi to open.

Sydney Thunder will bat first.

Which rules out December and January when the test are on.
With school holidays, those two months are the crowd pullers for the BBL.
They would have to play the BBL in November or Feb and risk smaller crowds

Sydney 99 (19.1)

Even without Gibbs, Perth should get the 100 runs to win easily

i don't know when they will try and have it, maybe in the Same sort of time frame as now but just squashed into a month. So it will basically be the whole of January. And when the test schedule goes back to normal the test 12 will only miss the first couple of games with the new years test. But I think ODI cricket will lose out. If the bbl is on in jan what happens to one dayers. Imagine it only being a domestic game at Adelaide oval on Australia day. I don't that will happen. But the first rights to nine will be a ashes year so we could see KP and other English stars playing.

ST 99[19.2]
GAYLE 20[16] one man batting team
RIMMINGTON 1/19[4] good
COULTER NILE 3/9[3] outstanding effort
HOGG 2/8 [4] best best spinner in the comp ?

What can I say, ST have been given an average squad
Nevertheless no side should be dismissed in the 20th over , batting first, for a paltry 99
Does it really matter if they make 10 runs less, and bowled out in the 15th over ?
At least by having a go they might get to 125 + and have a sniff

PS 1/103 [14.1]
RONCHI 0 [2] ...
NORTH 38* [25]
MARSH 64*[58] majestic

WHAT THE ....
Perth under no pressure win in a canter
The Perth 2nd innings was a comedy of errors
PS chasing a gimme total can only lose if they lose about 4 wickets in the power play
And they open with Fluke Ronchi
Simon Katich an opening batsman by trade should have opened
Then I witnessed some bewildering captaincy by Dan Smith
You need about 4 wickets early to have a chance
Coyte takes a wicket 2nd ball, yep great start
And then Luke Doran opens the bowling for the 2nd over
Marcus North plays a reverse sweep to the 11th ball of the innings, is this guy for real
Chris Gayle bowls in the Powerplay, about over 4
Floros bowls in the powerplay
Copeland and Butterworth[ more acknowledged strike bowlers] bowl overs 8 + 9
When you have a sMALl total to defend you bowl your best bowlers sooner not later
Dart bowlers are not gunna bowl teams out , defending abyssMAL total scores

I cant bat like these guys
I cant bowl like these guys
BUT
If Dan Smith wants to ring me up to ask for bowling changes, he really should on tonights debacle

UMPIRE
Ump Mick had a shocker [ I reckon he was involved in these boo boos]
1 NILE TO KHAWAJA appeared to miss the ball, bowler does not appeal given out Caught behind
2 NILE TO GAYLE snicks to the keeper given not out, but given out by the 3rd ump
3 HOGG TO FLOROS LBW clearly out, given not out
4 NILE TO FLOROS Caught behind of the glove , given not out
5 FLOROS TO NORTH and LBW that hit in line, looked out, given not out

WORST OF ALL
That Gayle was given out on an umpire referral
But Floros was not referred
I can excuse an ump for making wronggggggg decisions
But to refer one not caught and not the other was the worst error in this game

M MARSH
Just matter of time b4 he becomes the next Shane Watson
In fact, I would select him now

HOGG
has made himself available for International 20/20s
I think he would do ok
But he has to realise he is bowling to a few B graders in this 20/20 comp
International batters are a different proposition
Hogg ended up with the equal best domestic economic 20/20 bowling figures for a 4 over stint
HARRIS 1/9
NANNES 1/8
HOGG 2/8
He is arguably the best limited overs spinner AU has produced ?

MY VOTES
3 COULTER NILE was denied a 4th wicket by the umps, and ran out 2 batsmen
2 HOGG
1 MARSH

Half a million through the gates so far, that would equate to the total of all Shield and Ryobi/McDonald's Cup matches ever I'd be thinking, must be carp.
