Yes aswell as Sams you could probably add any of Tye, Abbott, Meredith, Ellis, D'Arcy Short, Henriques, Phillippe, Turner, Lynn and Maddinson to that pool but that's not to say guys like Meredith and Phillippe will improve and possibly become regulars in Australia's T20 team.

Behrendorff doesn't get enough love mate and it's a travesty he doesn't.

I also tend to think Smith playing T20s is becoming a waste of time and wouldn't mind if he gave up on playing the format but the Aussies obviously like having him in there as the Anchor/Mr Fix It type of role.

Could make a fair line up out of this group mate, could even call upon Marcus North to coach.

Behrendorff was going to be the next big thing not long, injuries hindered him but you don't lose talent, he hasn't really taken the opportunities by the balls when they've presented themselves for national duties, take out his 4/21 in his 2nd T20 and he's averaging 35 with a 9.22 economy rate, are we putting him on a pedestal too or does he need more games to find his groove? Nearly 32 now so time isn't really on his side.

Yeah whilst he had a good BBL 11 and has a pretty good BBL record overall being nearly 32 the Aussie Selectors are most likely looking past Behrendorff now.

Haha, I just edited my post to say that.
He's the allrounder Australia deserves, but not the one it realises it needs right now.

I think he has opened the batting for the Scorchers in the BBL or at least I recall him batting in the top 4 when they were obsessed with right hand/left hand batting combinations.

Yeah Australia cruised to victory but Sri Lanka's bowling was pretty good again I thought just didn't have any luck in the field and missed some chances. It's looked like Aussie batsman have struggled a bit picking Theekshana.

Haha funny how it works like that hey mate, criticise/question someone and they perform well and praise/talk up someone else and they struggle/under perform.

Michael Neser has a side strain and will now miss the Pakistan tour. He picked up the injury in Queensland's one day cup match against NSW on Monday, initially injuring himself while warming up to bowl then attempted to bowl in the NSW innings but left the field after two deliveries.

His Queensland team mate Mark Steketee replaces him in the Australian squad and Brendan Doggett is now on standby for the series.

4th T20I on tonight at the MCG.

No Cummins, Hazlewood or Starc for the last 2 matches as they prepare for the test series against Pakistan.

Adam Zampa should come back in and Jhye Richardson more than likely to play aswell, possibly Travis Head too.

But the biggest news is that Aston Agar might keep his spot opening the batting! @Armchair expert
