Smith played the anchor role - would've probably gone harder earlier had NCN not fired, or had Carey managed to bat past 50.. needed him (or Carey) to bat until towards the 45th over otherwise we never would've got over 220.
Smith raced to 20 comfortably while Carey took something like 15 balls to score, then Carey lifted and they were both around 40 with Carey almost a run a ball, while Smith settled back content to work the 1s.
Also think some credit needs to go to the WI though with their bowling, there were plenty of balls that were difficult to hit and thought their fielding inside the circle was exceptionally good compared to what they normally dish up.
Out of all of it, I feel Carey's innings hasn't received the plaudits it should.. almost gone unnoticed.
