We only need 1 session to finish it

Well over 1 session has past today and still NO wickets for Aust.
Jayawardanae 101*
Mathews 67*

S/Lanka 5/199 need 180 to win

Think S/Lanka have pulled a swifty on Aust and changed pitches overnight.

Could Aust LOSE the UNLOSABLE test ??

They've done it b4 but surely noy here ???.......... Surely NOT ?

Well, we've set another record apparently - highest ever fourth innings total at Galle. Oz is pretty reliable lately.

What sort of shot is that from a batsman on 95? Windy woof, gift for Watto. Commentator called that an off cutter, no way, that was the straightest of straight balls.

A test win for Oz, here comes the march back to number 1!! 8-[

Well done boys the first step has been made. Our bowling is a still a bit of a worry for mine. Being held out for so long by a nuffy like Matthews is not a good look.

Ricky Ponting's 100th Test win arrived in the nick of time to allow him to fly home for the birth of his second child, which will rule him out of the second Test starting in Kandy on Thursday. The reserve batsman Shaun Marsh is set to make his debut, while David Warner, previously seen as a Twenty20 specialist, will join the group as a standby player.

made a double ton in his last first class match so Dave can play the longer form of the game.

Last 3 digs at first class level has seen him hit 211, 48 & 82

in his 211 faced 345 balls in 446 minutes which by my calculations is a day's play plus 3/4 of a session

has only played 9 first class games with an average of 53 with a strike rate of 69. Although I think the double hundred would have kicked the average along nicely

Getting picked for a Test with only that behind you is an insult to many a good cricketer.
